Description

Made from “A” Grade Siberian Larch, ‘Shade’ is our lightest level of firing. Shade can give a stunning rustic look. It is lightly fired then brushed and treated with oil to allow the natural grain to show the timber’s character.

PermaChar timber has undergone fire treatment to preserve it. This charred timber process originated in Japan – known there as “Shou sugi ban”. It protects against fire, wind, rain, rot & insects.

Profile choices of our charred timber are available from the drop down menu above. The ‘shadowgap’ profile, or ‘channel’ profile is suitable for cladding external walls of new or old properties.

Sold in square metres.
